Project “Incubator of Production Activities” attracted great attention

Fund for knowledge and technology SME and business incubator Telsai invited Free Zone Pirot to give the presentation of their activities on the second forum „Business Incubators – the guarantee for stability for small and medium enterprises“.
In the period from 9th to 12th December 2008, the representatives of Pirot District and Free Zone Pirot and Protecta Nis had the opportunity to exchange positive experience and examples of good practice with the colleagues from Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.
The regional forum was supported by European Union and the representative of the European Parliament, during his introductory speech, gave a huge support to the development of business incubators and promised greater financial funds for building and adaptation of new incubators up to the sum of 50% of the investment value.
The presentation of Free Zone Pirot attracted a great interest and those present saw for the first time that it was possible to have Free Zone, Industrial Park, and transport-logistic centre at one place, and they showed the greatest interest in the project of production activities incubator development.
The potentials for investment and building within the Industrial Park and advantages of foreign-trade activities in duty free business regime within Free Zone Pirot were shown to those present. During the presentation the project that attracted their great attention was „Successful Model of Cross-border Cooperation“ which is being realised in the Free Zone Pirot and by which EU supports the concept of free zones and industrial parks.
